Spider Cottage was built in the 1950s. The cottage was given the name by a previous owner and people from all around the area knew the property as Spider Cottage. They used to brew their own beer and had their own Spider Cottage labels made. They also used to sell the fruit from the trees in the back garden to locals. The cottage was later purchased by a couple who ran a beauty business and renamed it Casa Bella.
When Alan and Julie Faulkner purchased the property they were searching for a name for their holiday home and decided to use the original name Spider Cottage. They wanted to retain the character and history of the place. Located in Titirangi, West Auckland, the Cottage is nestled in the Waitakere Ranges - beautiful lush green rainforest with over 150 bush walks, spectacular views, waterfalls and beaches.
