A 1901 restored Edwardian townhouse in downtown Auckland, New Zealand, Braemar on Parliament Street Bed and Breakfast provides elegant accommodation for the discerning traveller. Braemar is well suited for visitors to the Auckland Central Business District, the Auckland High Court, Auckland University and the Auckland University of Technology. We offer a relaxed, comfortable and quiet environment, the elegant Edwardian architecture providing an escape from the hustle and bustle of Downtown.
It's the title shot in Geoff Murphy's Kiwi classic movie Goodbye Pork Pie. Our Kauri staircase dazzled in Don Selwyn's beautiful film Maori Merchant of Venice. In 2004, the BBC film Not Only But Always stars Braemar (alongside Rhys Ifans of Notting Hill fame). Where flyer Jean Batten's father Fred had his apartment upstairs is now our main guest suite. Upstairs in the Batten Suite, a guest suite of three rooms, the bedroom is furnished with antique furniture and a queen size posturepaedic bed, separate tiled shower and toilet.
